1. ENABLE OSSL

You will need to ensure that OSSL functions are enabled in your region and permission to use the standard set needed by most of my Paramour products. In addition, if you want to use the optional spotlights you will need to have permission to use osSetPrimitiveParams() and osSetProjectionParameters(). Please consult the Opensimulator.org region configuration documentation if you aren't sure how to do this.

2. INITIAL SET-UP

* Rez the dancepole to the ground.

* If you don't plan to use the cage, select the dancepole with your viewer in edit mode, unlink, then delete it...that way your region won't need to send the data to your visitors. If you might want to use it later, you could set it to 100% transparency instead.

* Open the dancepole's inventory, and wait a few moments for it to load

* If you want to use the optional spotlights, scroll down in the inventory and take a copy of the "Paramour Remote Spotlight" object into your inventory. Then rez it to the ground and position it wherever you like in the general area of the dancepole. You can have as many spotlights as you like, although anything more than 4 tends to be impractical. I would suggest keeping them within about 10m (radius) of the main dancepole since that's the approximate maximum useful range of the lighting effect.

* If you're using one or more of the optional spotlights, next open the spotlight controller script in the main dancepole's inventory and change any of its user settings as required. If you add any new spotlights later, you'll need to reset this script to have it "see" them. Details of those settings are in the script itself.

* Finally, open the main dancepole script and adjust any of its user settings at the top (details for each are in the script). If you're using the optional spotlights, be sure to enable the option to send the message to the spotlight controller script otherwise they won't work.

Presto...you're ready to dance!}
